quatic before the quest?    2010-03-26 00:00:00
Horsemouth wrote:Clam stacking noobs I say. That quest was a bitch. It had next to zero cool lore elements as well. Damn kids these days. So any bets on when the bear quest goes away? Too bad the clam meat no longer auto stacks when you open them! Grr... Yeah, it was pretty tedious. The Cure Poison quest sucked for Horde too... the sick deer were so few and far between, and Barrens is huge. It was so much easier as a Night Elf imo. Pet, skills    2010-03-20 00:00:00
unless you have three pets that you're really attached to, it's really not all that hard at all. The toughest part is figuring out which pet has the skill you want, and petopia makes that sooo much easier. Once you tame that pet, it usually only takes a few minutes to learn that skill. Heck, when I was learning Dash, I pretty much sat around in an Inn, and activated it a few times. When I was learning Prowl for my cats, I tamed an Elder Shadowmaw Panther, and learned it instantly, because when the cat is tamed, it automatically goes into prowl.-Ayrianna 80 Nightelf Hunter - Queen of Typos Sylverra 69 Human Warlock Stormscale Server levaks wrote:And you Ayrianna you are the tupical noob hunter that everyone hates in BGs..the hunter that do arena just to get the axe.....
Dragonhawks and grouping    2010-03-10 00:00:00
I've had 2 owls for quite a while now, although I really like owls, using 2 of my 3 pet slots with them seems a little silly. I was thinking of getting a Bloodfalcon from Botanica. My only reservation is taking it into instances. Fire Breath breaks CC and that can be a huge problem. One that I never had to worry about with Screech. I was thining a way round it would be to take Fire Breath off autofire when fighting groups and manually trigger it when I know it's safe to do so. Putting it back on autofire for bosses. The downside to this is, while I like having a l...

Totem Rall, so that fixes any    2010-02-21 00:00:00
I believe at 30 you get Totem Rall, so that fixes any aggro problems with Searing Totem.youan milk some more use out of totems by setting up a "totemamp" and pulling mobs to it. you have to beareful, as totems are aggro magnets, but generally if youan kill 3-4 pulls of guys per totem drop you'reoming out ahead in the totemmana game. i also only tend to use either healing streammana stream and str of earth or gre of air. all of those last two minutes, and if youan keep em down for a minute then its tually a big help. but if youre movingonstantly this doesnt work as well. in high density areas itan be real ne tho.lol ya... when I was level9ing as a shaman all I did was bash stuff down and then heal... As a matter of ft while leveling I preferred whale (stam and spirit greens) mainlyause I neverasted so the mana regen wasn't bad, and the stam helped me live, only until I was higher level where spe...
think it should be this: startattk    2010-02-09 00:00:00
almost got the syntax right, i think it should be this: startattk cast Sunder Armor if you go prot, you willhange the sond line to "cast Devastate" at level 50. cording to the 1.9 pah notes, stky just prevents you fromlearing your target, nothanging it. but now that i use the mouse wheel, i rarely find myselflking on targets anymore, so it's not an issue. ok, so I just hit 70 on my prot warrior, who I've had prot sp'd sie lvl 10, and I have some questions about sp. At the moment, I haven't got all that mh lvl 70 gear, but I'm doing ok in terms of taking damage, but I'd like to generate more threat, ...

As the Writer's Guild Of America strike drags on, amid a boring avalanche of television reruns and major shows like 24 shutting down for the season, thoughts turn to other avenues of employment. For now, the focus is on Internet revenue, which studio owners are reluctant to share with writers. It's overshadowed a pretty shocking fact about the most lucrative work for screenwriters other than Hollywood: Video games.I'm a screenwriter. My television scripts were produced for Star Trek: The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine. I'd love to write video games, but knowing the current pay structure for game writers, I'm hesitant.Video game writers aren't paid residuals.Gone are the days of little yellow guys ...
Buying canvas paintings these days is seen as a rarity since more and more people are opting for the cheaper replicas of original paintings that are printed out on tarpaulin sheets and framed. These cheap knockoffs of original artwork do not last a lifetime and fade when constantly exposed to the elements like dust, sunlight, and air. Modern art on canvas should be considered something of an investment and a keepsake that you can pass down through the generations as something from this era. Like the paintings of the masters were passed down to this generation, so should these modern art pieces be passed on to the next generations to come. Decorating your home with cheap knock-offs of certain paintings that you like or posters of paintings that you feel will make your home look good is fine if only for a little while. These things do not last and will soon fade away, and you will find yourself buying another poster or printout of another copy of real canvas paintings to replace the faded ones you have. Why not consider buying the real thing instead and have something you can give to your children when they move to their own homes or when they grow up? There are a lot of modern art o...
How Second Life Affects Real Life    2009-08-13 00:00:00
About a year ago in my first visit to Second Life, the popular online virtual world, I spent half an hour trying to make my avatar, or online character, look like a hotter version of myself — which isn't easy when you don't know how to use the tools. When I finally made it onto Money Island to mingle, a stranger approached me and said, "Hello there, Devon." I froze. Then I tried to run. I was desperately searching for the teleport tool when my sister walked into the room, peered over my shoulder at the computer screen and said, "Why'd you make your avatar ugly?" I logged off. I didn't realize how instructive my sister's question was until recently, when I discovered research being done at Stanford University's Virtual Human Interaction Lab (VHIL). Jeremy Bailenson, head of the lab and an assistant professor of communication at Stanford, studies the way self-perception affects behavior. No surprise that what we think about ourselves affects the confidence with which we approach the world. What is a surprise is that this applies in the virtual world too. With my plain=Jane avatar and my inexperience in Second Life, I did what most people would want to do in an uncomfortable social situation: run away. What's more, Bailenson's research suggests that the qualities you acquire online — whether it's confidence or insecurity — can spill over and change your conduct in the real world, often without your awareness. Bailenson has found that even 90 seconds spent chatting it up with avatars is enough to elicit behavioral changes offline — at least in the short term. "W...
